HEY, BROWN STUDENTS!

The BOC accepts new leaders every semester. New Leader Applications go out in mid-to-late November in the Fall and in late April in the Spring. We accept applications from all undergraduate students, transfer students, graduate students, RUE students, and anyone who has applied in the past. The application consists of a handful of relevant questions, to be answered in short paragraphs, as well as few fun Get-To-Know-You short-answer questions near the end.
We’re looking for enthusiastic people who are excited about making the outdoors accessible to Brown students and facilitating inclusive communities on our trips. NO OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED TO BE A LEADER! The BOC is committed to training new leaders in the skills needed to put on our trips. Why should you apply?
1. You’ll have the opportunity to regularly get off campus and explore New England, while meeting tons of new people!
2. You will gain skills in inclusive group facilitation, outdoor leadership, budgeting, and event planning!
3. You’ll join a community of over 45 BOC leaders from all class years and backgrounds, all working together to get Brown students outside!
